As the name suggests, Icelandic sheepskin originates from the rugged landscapes of Iceland.
This unique breed traces its roots to the Norwegian short-tailed sheep, brought to Iceland by the Vikings as far back as the 1100s–1200s.
Icelandic sheep are medium to large in size, known for their sturdy build, short legs, and impressively broad backs. Their fleece naturally appears in up to 17 beautiful shades. Exceptionally resilient to cold, these hides were invaluable to Icelanders during harsh northern winters.
The wool of Icelandic sheepskin is renowned for its outstanding quality—durable, water-repellent, naturally glossy, and wonderfully long-lasting.
A genuine sheepskin adds effortless style and warmth to any interior. Whether placed on the floor as a rug, draped over a sofa, or laid across a bed, it brings a comforting softness and a touch of nature’s luxury into your home.
Our sheepskins are eco-tanned, giving them an exceptionally soft, silky touch that feels beautifully gentle against the skin.
This full sheepskin pelt is hand cut along the natural curves of the leather hide, each sheepskin is unique and naturally shaped.
